E3 this week. I haven't kept up on it too much. There are a couple big things coming out of it. Nintendo announced that their new machine is called "Wii." Pronounced we. We-ird if you ask me. The trailer for Halo 3 was released. I am sure this is about all the Microsoft "gamer" sheep care about. Not me. I haven't seen it. I don't care. Halo is cool but nothing special and the "Master Chief" is easily the most overrated avatar in video game history. Sony announced the price for the PS3. In my opinion this is the biggest thing so far. Probably one of the biggest announcements in the industry in years. $600. Pfft. Who are they kidding? I guess there is gonna be a 20 gig version that is cheaper. $600 for the 60 gig version but the pricing will be open in Japan meaning it is up to retailers to price it. Screw that. Over here the corporate price gougers will be bleeding 15 year olds by forcing bundles on consumers once again. Force feeding us games we don't want just to get the one we do. I guarantee most bundles will run around $1000. Imagine the PC you could build for that. Even the Gateway or Dell you can get for that kind of cash could run circles around a PS3. If you buy one it is only for the library. They are going with PS2 controllers so it would be upsetting for those who own a PS2 to be forced to buy another controller when they don't need one. Whatever. I'll buy one sooner or later. Even though I could probably buy a Wii and an Xbox 360(bleh I should just buy a couple DSs) for the same price.
My next post will appeal to more of you.
