You should watch I Robot

I watched I Robot the other day. I know it has been out for a while but who could blame me for not getting excited about another Will Smith movie. I’ve already seen Will Smith Vs aliens twice (Independance Day and MIB…I didn’t bother with MIB2) . Next I saw Will Smith Vs giant robot spider in Wild Wild West so forgive me if after seeing a preview for I Robot I dubbed it Will Smith Vs robots. As if repetitive plots aren’t bad enough every one of his action movies is also filled with his “I make this look good” attitude. The sad thing is that Will Smith can act. Just watch one of his dramas. I guess in the end he does do a decent mix of crowd pleasers and critic pleasers. Too bad all the money is in the crowd pleasers.
Anyway, I Robot was intriguing and I put it on par with other futuristic who done it movies such as Minority Report and Blade Runner. I still think I like Minority Report a littler better but I Robot is easier to get into and requires a little less thinking while still being intelligent. The ending is a bit hippyish and almost too feel good but overall I liked it a lot more than I ever thought possible. Not to mention the CGI and animation of the robots is cool.
