Last night was false labor trip #1. I guess it could be worse. I could have flown across the country to find out my daughter was just kidding as some have. All the same, I think I was just as disappointed. Not only am I still scheduled to work on Monday but I was also looking forward to meeting my daughter.
I am also VERY tired. I know you are thinking "haha just wait until the baby is born." Yeah right. I can't be any more tired than I am now. My wife is on bed rest. That means I am stuck with all the chores, shopping, and arranging of baby furniture. Not to mention anything else she wants. We aren't one of those families where I bring home the bacon and she does the housework while I relax with ESPN and a beer. We both work and we both do chores. What I am up to now isn't completely foreign to me. There is just a lot more work to be done by one person. I also have to give Henry 1-2 hours of attention and exercise per day. On top of this I am still working my dreaded 7-3:30 job at the hospital. You can say that I have no idea. You can say I will become even more tired. You can tell me to get my sleep now. I am, trust me. Here's the deal. Babies sleep. Babies sleep a lot. I have been told I didn't sleep much as a baby and I was still sleeping 12+ hours. I realize these may not be consecutive hours of sleep. 12 hours is still 12 hours. I can catch cat naps anything over 6 hours is like bonus sleep anyways. Just the fact that I won't have to be away from home everyday from 6:30-4:00 is going to give me MUCH more time to do chores, sleep, play, and hang out with Shanna, Emma, and Henry. You can say "We will see about that smart guy." Yeah, we will. Look forward to a post entitled "I told you so!"
Dear God, PLEASE let this baby come soon.

that's great stuff. I like your writing Garrett. Well Gerald and Lynne just left an hour ago and they are packing a baby bassonet. They're not sure if they will stop by Marysville to drop it off because they may drive straight thru and would be very tired at that point in the drive (hour 19 of 20 hours). But either they can bring it down or i figured boone could pick it up on the way down sometime. anyhow, i guess i should've emailed this but here it is. good luck!
Hope you get some rest!
